Justin Bieber has denied that he refused to appear in a male sex scene for an upcoming movie. Reports had suggested that Bieber had been offered the role of a young pop star in Uber Girl, a "coming-of-age story for millennials". The film has not yet entered production but co-writer Pete O’Neill had reportedly told Page Six that Bieber "won’t take the part unless the sex scene with him and one of the male back-up dancers is taken out of the final script". The writer went on to say that he is keen to cast singer-actresses Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande in the film, along with Kiernan Shipka (Sally Draper from Mad Men). However, a representative for Bieber has since told Gossip Cop there’s "no truth" to the story and that talks regarding the star appearing in the film "never happened". Getty Meanwhile, a Justin Bieber fan who spent nearly $100,000 (£63,000) on plastic surgery to look like his idol died of a multiple drug overdose, a coroner has confirmed. Tobias Strebel (formerly Toby Sheldon) was reported missing last year before being found dead in a motel room on August 21, 2015 in North Hills, California. The Wrap now reports that Strebel died of multiple drug intoxication and that the overdose was accidental. Strebel had Valium, Xanax, temazepam and alcohol in his system, according to the Los Angeles County coroner. Police do not suspect foul play in the death. An aspiring songwriter, Strebel also appeared on a 2014 episode of E!'s Botched reality TV show. "What brought me to Bieber was the whole package: the full cheeks, the full temples, the bright open eyes, the full luscious lips, and spatial framing… [he’s] just extraordinarily beautiful," he said on the show.

Kaiser Chiefs have debuted a behind-the-scenes montage from their 'Parachute' video shoot on NME.COM. Scroll down to watch it. 'Parachute', whose videos sees Ricky Wilson and his bandmates don swimwear and go diving, is the first single from the band's forthcoming sixth album, 'Stay Together', which was announced last month (June). It's the band's follow-up to 'Education, Education, Education & War', which reached Number One in 2014. The band have collaborated with MNEK on the new album, as well as with Brian Higgins, the pop songwriter-producer who is known for his work with Girls Aloud, Franz Ferdinand, Sugababes and Cher. Frontman Wilson has said of the band's new album: "When we finished writing the last record we realised that the most important thing to everyone is what's going on in their lives. Their 'personal politics' and that's what this album is about." "If 'Education, Education, Education & War' was our protest album, then 'Stay Together' is our relationship album," he added. "Brian [Higgins] brought a very different approach to song writing and recording, it was a steep learning curve but together we tried out new ideas and sounds and ended up with a new and fresh sounding Kaiser Chiefs album. Like no Kaiser Chiefs record you have heard before."

Father John Misty has claimed he turned down a $250,000 (£190,000) offer to cover the classic Backstreet Boys hit 'I Want It That Way' for a TV advert. The singer told fans at a recent gig that the lucrative offer was made by burrito chain Chipotle. "I was like, 'Cool, so then I can just buy like two Cadillacs and just crash them together," Consequence of Sound quotes him as saying. "I don't want your fucking burrito money." Presumably after Father John Misty turned Chipotle down, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes and Jim James of My Morning Jacket ended up covering 'I Want It That Way' for the burrito chain's advert. Watch it below. After the gig, Father John Misty wrote on Twitter: "Point of the Chipote story was a discussion on whether folk music is good for anything anymore other than just the selling of things." Netflix has released the main trailer for The Get Down, the forthcoming drama series about the birth of hip-hop in New York City from Moulin Rouge! and Romeo + Juliet director Baz Luhrmann. The show's cast includes Jaden Smith as a graffiti artist called Marcus "Dizzee" Kipling and newcomer Mamoudou Athie as hip-hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash. Former Sons Of Anarchy actor Jimmy Smits appears as a South Bronx political boss called Francisco "Papa Fuerte" Cruz. The real-life Grandmaster Flash serves as an associate producer on the series, while Nas is an executive producer and has written rhymes for the series. Luhrmann has called the rapper "a huge creative force on the production". The show's official synopsis teases: "The Get Down is a mythic saga of how New York at the brink of bankruptcy gave birth to a new art form. Set in New York in 1977, this music-driven drama series chronicles the rise of hip-hop and the last days of disco - told through the lives, music, art and dance of the South Bronx kids who would change the world forever." The first six episodes of The Get Down will launch on Netflix on August 12, with a further seven episodes to follow at a later date. Nas has joined director Baz Luhrmann's forthcoming Netflix show The Get Down, about the birth of hip-hop in New York. During a panel at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, Luhrmann, who is perhaps most famous for his production of Moulin Rouge described the rapper as "one of the most iconic voices of the 1990s". He said: “One of the great collaborations is that I’ve been working really closely in creating these rhymes, and he’s a producer on the film, with one of the most iconic voices of the 1990s and that’s Nas. And so Nas has been this other huge creative force in the production. And it’s been playing really, really successfully. “One of the things which I don’t think anyone knows, because it’s not in the trailers — and we’ve been doing this for about a year now — is that one of the characters goes on and we discover that he’s actually a successful rap star in the 1990s, and he narrates it through rhyme, through rap.” The Get Down is due to feature Jaden Smith, and will depict the very beginnings of hip-hop at the height of the disco craze in the 1970s. The trailer is below: Grandmaster Flash, who is being played in the show by Mamoudou Athie, is also on board as a producer on the show. The cast that already includes former Sons Of Anarchy/L.A. Law star Jimmy Smits and up-and-coming young actors Herizen Guardiola, Justice Smith, Shameik Moore, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen. The Get Down debuts on Netflix on 12 August.
