James Blake has discussed Frank Ocean's long-awaited second album in a new interview. Blake released his new album 'The Colour In Anything' earlier this month (May 6) and worked with Ocean on the LP. Frank Ocean is given writing credits on two tracks, namely 'My Willing Heart' and 'Always', although he doesn't actually feature vocally. Speaking to to Rolling Stone, Blake says that Ocean's music "was a huge influence on the way I was writing the record, the way I was writing melodies." He also went on to suggest that the R&B singer's new material is better than his acclaimed 2012 debut 'Channel Orange'. "I was more of a fan of him when I heard his newer music," Blake said. "It's better. You grow, you improve, you nail a new message to the board. He's had time to mature. It's really cool to watch." Getty Blake had previously told Pitchfork of working with Ocean that he "was a huge inspiration for this record: his process, the way he writes, the strength of what he does, who he is. We became very good friends." Elsewhere in the Rolling Stone interview, Blake says that fame made him feel like he was living "a double life".
