David Cameron announced this morning that he is stepping down as Prime Minister as it emerged that the UK had voted to leave the EU by a majority of 52% to 48%. The vote for Brexit has been greeted with overwhelming dismay by many prominent figures in the music world.
"I have a very heavy heart today," Damon Albarn told fans as he performed on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury earlier today (June 24). "To my mind, democracy has failed us, because we were ill-informed. And I just want all of you to know, that when we leave here, we can change that decision. It is possible."
Meanwhile, Lily Allen said on Twitter: "Well, millennials. We're really, really fucked. How's that stronger NHS and economy looking. I've been crying since Swindon, not even joking." Check out many more reactions from the music world here.
