David Bowie's musical Lazarus, one of his last artistic ventures, is set to open in the UK. The stage show, which opened in New York late last year, is based on Bowie's 1976 film 'The Man Who Fell To Earth', which saw the musician playing the character of an alcoholic alien called Thomas Newton. The show, co-written with Irish playwright Enda Walsh and directed by Belgian director Ivo van Hove, starred Dexter and Six Feet Under actor Michael C Hall in the New York show. It will now run at the Kings Cross Theatre in London from October 25, 2016 to January 21, 2017. Tickets range from £15 to £95 and can be found here. Michael C Hall, Michael Esper and Sophia Anne Caruso will reprise their roles, with full casting announced at a later date. Press Speaking to Jeremy Paxman in 2000, Bowie expressed his desire to write musicals and plays. "When I was a teenager I had it in my mind that I would be a creator of musicals for the West End and Broadway, and people would do my songs," he said. Bowie passed away in January following what an official statement described as "a courageous 18 month battle with cancer".
